HTC Desire Firmware Update
The new firmware update version v2.29.405.2 has released to HTC Desire users on December 6th. This firmware update is confirmed to be sent to only unlocked HTC Desire for now - no date confirmed for HTC Desire on carrier versions. No change-log released from HTC for now but many forums has suggested this firmware is a maintenance release or could be preparing the HTC Desire for the new version of OS like Gingerbread. For 28.87 MB size download you need at lease 25MB for install this firmware - check this update by go to Settings > About phone > System software updates on you HTC Desire.

Android 2.2 On Virgin Mobile HTC Desire
Meanwhile, Android 2.3 will be available in very nearly future. Virgin Mobile has finally launched Android 2.2 ( Froyo ) to their customers with original HTC Desire on November 12. HTC Desire HD OTA Update
The second OTA update for HTC Desire HD released to the phone owners. This's just a minor update for fixes YouTube and screen issues on HTC Desire HD after the first update which released last week has already improved the screen control on HTC Desire HD. HTC Desire OTA Update
The HTC Desire HD gets its first OTA update. This update will bring software version 1.32.405.3 to your HTC Desire HD and fixes screen control issues and improve photo message compatibility enhancements but not improve regular photo quality. Note - if you don't want to waiting for the updates you can go to Menu > Settings > About phone > Check for Updates to force your HTC Desire HD download this update but you should be on Wi-fi because the file is large and don't forget to backup your HTC Desire HD before running this update.13/10/2010
HTC Desire Android 2.2 Update
Three the UK carrier has confirmed to their customers via twitter that HTC Desire will get Android 2.2 ( Froyo ) update on October 14th. The update will will be delivered to HTC Desire owners over the air. The number of this version is v2.25.771.1 and will start at 9AM in tomorrow morning - don't stop refreshing your "System Updates" menu until you get this update on your HTC Desire. Froyo On HTC Desire
Android 2.2 is the hottest topic today and here is the first rumor about Android 2.2 (aka Froyo) on HTC Desire ; this rumor leaked from XDA-developers forum.An XDA member who have a problem about not enough space to install more apps on his phone.This guy contacted HTC customer service and here 's what HTC customer service said to him ;But you never heard this from me.... A new update is coming the 23rd of june and you will be able to put some apps on to the micro sd card.If this guy is to be believed HTC Desire owners will enjoy the Froyo in late June.So,don't miss any update for this rumor.

HTC Desire On Orange UK
We have heard a news about HTC Desire on US Cellular in the States and HTC Desire on Orange UK from Tracy and Matt in last week.Tracy and Matt said that HTC Desire will available on Orange UK in a few days.Seem like more HTC Desire fans in UK and they have got a limited stock problem.In below there is Orange UK press release which said Orange UK are still working hard to release more HTC Desire to their customers.“Due to an unprecedented high demand for the HTC Desire on Orange, we are experiencing some delays in delivering the handset across all our channels. We are currently working to fix this as a matter of priority and expect the Desire to be available across all channels shortly. Orange would like to apologise to customers for any inconvenience this has caused.”

HTC Desire OTA Update
HTC Desire the Android phone with 1GHz Snapdragon CPU and Google Nexus One look.HTC Desire now available only on T-mobile UK and pre-order on Vodafone UK but OTA update for their owner now available.
